It was set up to facilitate the administrative procedures involved in obtaining a visa, reduce costs and encourage tourism.

The unified e-visa offers a number of advantages over traditional visas:

Am I eligible for a unified e-visa?

To be eligible for the unified e-visa, you must meet certain conditions:

  • Have a valid passport with an expiry date at least six months after the planned end of your stay in Russia.
  • Not intend to work permanently, study or carry out journalistic activities in Russia.

It is important to note that the unified e-visa covers the whole of Russiabut by entering via certain eligible points. If you plan to enter at a point not listed, you will need to obtain a traditional visa.

How do I obtain a unified e-visa to visit friends or family in Russia?
