Since 1 January 2021, the Russian government has introduced a unified e-Visa for visiting the whole of Russia. This e-Visa allows entry to the country only once for a tourist stay, business or visit to relatives, lasting up to 16 days.In the 16 days of validity of the e-Visa, are counted the day of arrival and departure.

The nationalities and entry points eligible for this visa are listed below. The average time taken to obtain the e-Visa is approximately 4 days. No invitation or voucher is required for this process.

What are the eligibility criteria for the Russian e-Visa?

1️⃣ Passport

Travellers must hold a passport that is still valid at least 6 months after applying for an e-Visa.

2️⃣ Current visa

You do not need to be in possession of a Russian resident visa.

3️⃣ Location

You do not need to be currently in Russia with a valid visa.

For a travel to Russia, the electronic visa is compulsory. Since 1 January 2021, you can visit the entire country with the unified electronic visa. The Russia visa allows you to stay 16 days in the various Russian oblasts for the purpose of visiting relatives, for business or tourism.

When should you travel to Russia?

Between April and September, in Moscow and St Petersburg, the temperatures are very pleasant. From June, night falls late in St Petersburg, making for a fuller day than in winter. However, the winter period can also be festive at New Year and Christmas.
